The Maison de Grace certifies its diamonds and precious stones conflict free, based on its knowledge and in written guarantees provided by its suppliers.
Kimberley’s Process is an international regime of certification of rough diamonds, which gathers governments and diamond industrialists, aimed at avoiding negotiations with rebel movements, who finance their military activities with diamonds.
This agreement was the result of discussions that began in May, 2000 in Kimberley, South Africa. It was signed on January 1st, 2003 by the United States, Canada and countries of the European Union. In 2007, the process accounted 48 members representing 74 countries. This international cooperation is motivated by the problem of conflict diamonds – diamonds which are produced in war zones and used by warlords to provide themselves in weapons.
Based in written guarantees provided by its suppliers, The Maison certifies that their diamonds are purchased from justifiable sources in accordance with the Resolutions of the United Nations
