Our Know-How

OF

THE

Gouache drawing remains an essential technique in jewellery. A jeweler has to be able to design an item from the drawing. Therefore, it is important to include as many details as possible, with a high degree of accuracy. Our customers are guided by the creativity of the drawer and by the idea of being involved in the design. Once finalised, these sketches will be transformed in a unique piece by the Maison de Grace's virtuoso master jewellers.

JEWELLERY

From the drawing, de Grace's jewellers create a noble metal frame for the stones. Shaping is an essential step to give life to our creations and make them brighter, including in particular its invisible parts.

From the drawing, our craftsmen determine the exact location and number of stones to set. Every stone must be scrupulously set down. The Maison de Grace's gem setters draw their method on the ancestral tradition of High Jewellery so that the stone eclipses the metal.

Polishing allows your jewel to obtain a brilliant final aspect. Considering that this operation removes a fine layer of metal, the Maison de Grace recommends you to practise it only twice in the life of a golden jewel.
